Request Submission Due Dates

(Why so early?)
The UCSD Bookstore works hard to save students money on their course materials purchases by buying back books needed in the upcoming term, by searching the national market for used texts, and by working with our vendors to negotiate better prices. All these efforts take time and none works well unless we have a substantial set of adoption information to work with. Plus, getting the routine adoptions in early gives us more time to work with late and problem adoptions.

We thank you, and your students thank you, for submitting your adoption information as soon as you have made your decision.

Fall 2025: May 30, 2025
Winter 2026: Ocotober 31, 2025
Spring 2026: January 30, 2026
Summer 2026: May 6, 2026
Next Fall 2026: May 29, 2026

    • We want your students to have their course materials when they are needed. In order to ensure that books are on the shelves for the first day of class, please submit your course materials adoptions as early as possible; this allows us to research titles as necessary, seek as many used copies as possible (including student Buy-Back during finals), work with publishers to lower textbook costs, and resolve out-of-stock and out-of-print problems.
